Maximize hangar utilization
To maximize hangar utilization you can snap visits to the left on the Gantt chart. This removes space between scheduled visits so visits are scheduled nose to tail. You can snap visits left on one track at a time.
To snap visits left, you select a start visit and end visit. The start visit won't move but the other visits in the selected range will move closer to the start visit. The start and end visits must be unlocked.
After the move, the snapped visits retain their original sequence - unless there was a locked visit in visit range. In this case, the locked visit does not move and the other visits in the range hop over the locked visit (as space permits).
Reserved plans snap only the visits that belong to the reserved subfleets. Unreserved visits in the snap range are treated as locked visits and do not move.
Visits in the snap range hop over blackout periods where space permits. Snapped visits never overlap a blackout period.
Visits expand and contract to account for Non-Working Days.
Locked tasks in unlocked visits don't prevent visits from being moved.
When you snap visits left, tasks are never pulled past their 'Forecasted from' date.
