About data uploading

Uploading data templates allows you to import large amounts of data at one time.

It is recommended that upon initial data upload, all template files must be uploaded together, with the exception of Check Hierarchy Rules, Automerge Rules, Extraction Rules and Extraction Rule Allocations which may be uploaded later.

Alternatively, data templates can be uploaded in the following grouping order to satisfy data dependencies:

After the initial upload is complete, any of the files can be uploaded independently and do not need to be loaded in groups.

Note:
  • The maximum allowable file size is 2 MB per file.

  • The maximum allowable combined file size that you can upload at one time is 6 MB.

Data requirements and defaults

Before uploading your data, you should be aware of the following rules:

  • Tasks listed in task_definition.csv must also be listed in task_applicablility.csv to be applied to an aircraft.
  • If Last Done information is not provided for a task, the task will be scheduled based on the Calculation From value in the task definition. Supplying Last Done values improves the accuracy of forecasting due dates.
  • Repeating tasks can only have one terminating task. The terminating task must be listed as a Task ID in task_definition.csv and have the same applicability as the repeating task.
  • Each aircraft's tail number must be included in forecast_model.csv and fleet_details.csv. Although the Aircraft Usage information for the tail is not required, the schedule will be less accurate if it is missing.

  • Extraction rule ID and Extraction rule name listed in extraction_rule_allocation.csv must also be listed in extraction_rules.csv. If the extraction rule ID is non-existent, an error message will be returned upon upload

  • If no value is listed in the track priority field of location_capability.csv, the default value of 100 will be used.

  • Uploading data overwrites existing all operational data to match all columns included in the uploaded templates, including blank fields. i.e. You must include complete data for all rows in a column if you want to update that field in any row.
