Task definition for forecasting

Task Definition data fields that affect forecasting
Field	Change to data	Forecasting result
Terminating Task	Add an undefined task definition ID or change an existing task definition ID to an undefined task definition ID.	The task definition is ignored.
Chained Tasks	Add an undefined task definition ID.	This change is ignored; you will see a warning, but forecasting is successful.
Chained Tasks	Change an existing task definition ID to an undefined task definition ID.	The task definition is ignored.
Schedule	Change the schedule from EARLIEST to LATEST.	All of the task due dates switch from using the earliest spec due date to the latest spec due date. The visit start date remains the same.
Schedule	Change the schedule from LATEST to EARLIEST.	All of the task due dates switch from using the latest spec due date to the earliest spec due date.
Calculation From	Update with new data.	Only the next closest iteration of the visit’s due date is updated. If the updated visit is manually moved, the next visit's due date is updated. The visit start date remains the same.
Calculation From	Change manufacture date, in-service date, or effective date to NA.	Forecasting cannot proceed. Any tasks that have initial days, cycles, or hours must have a start date.
Type	Update with invalid data.	Forecasting does not change the visit.
Initial Days/ Hours/ Cycles	Update with new data.	Only the first iteration of the visit’s due date is updated. If the updated visit is manually moved, the next visit's due date is updated. The visit start date remains the same.
Repeat Days/ Hours/ Cycles	Change any dates except for the first iteration.	Only the first iteration of the visit’s due date is updated. If the updated visit is manually moved, the next visit's due date is updated. The visit start date remains the same.
Min Yield	Update with invalid data.	Does not successfully forecast, but no error is shown. The due date is not changed.
Max Yield	Update with invalid data.	Does not successfully forecast, but no error is shown. The due date is not changed.
Span	Update with invalid data.	Does not successfully forecast, but no error is shown. The due date is not changed. The span value for each maintenance task will not update.
Terminating Task	Update with invalid data.	Does not successfully forecast, but no error is shown. The due date is not changed.
Terminating Days	Update with new data.	No tasks are terminated.
Terminating Usage Hours	Update with new data.	No tasks are terminated.
Terminating Usage Cycles	Update with new data.	No tasks are terminated.
Scheduled EOM	Update with new data.	Successfully forecasts.
