Deleting data

Removing operational data must be done carefully, with consideration for the implications on saved plans.

You can perform a bulk delete of data only in the Pre-production environment. Contact your support representative if you want to bulk delete data from your Production environment.

In addition, you can delete individual entities, such as an aircraft, using the data management tools.

Important: When deleting data, be aware of the following:
  • Once data is deleted, it cannot be recovered.
  • Tasks and visits generated from the deleted data will not immediately be deleted.

  • Forecasting plans after deleting data may cause errors.

  • Scheduling plans after deleting data will remove tasks generated from the deleted data from the SSD going forward, including locked tasks and tasks assigned to locked visits. Visits and tasks which are scheduled to start before the SSD will remain in the plan.

Typically, deleting data in bulk is done to reset a system, and only after a user has exported their operational data for their records.
